18.10.2005 | 18:58 | Anderswo | Sachen kaufen Vietnam II: Broken English
Dieser Beitrag ist ein Update zu: Asien Spezial: Korea & Vietnam Kommentar #1 von WIKI: "Germans less fluent in the English language often say "become" instead of "get" because the German word "bekommen" ("get") is phonetically so close to "become". Since it's polite to reply "Bitte" if someone thanks you, Germans may literally translate this with "please" instead of "here you are" or "you're welcome". Another source of confusion is that Germans call mobile phones "Handy" and regard this as an English word." 19.10.2005 | 00:40 |
